Hey there folks,

Sorry its been a while but I have been trying to sort out things for next season. Here is where I am up to! I will be riding for team Millsports in the 2008 NW200 riding their supersport bike which I will be competing in 2 races on  and their superstock bike which I will have 1 race on.  I have asked Millsport If I can get a ride on the machines before the NW200 so that I can familarise myself with them.  I will be out on the JMF Millsport Yamaha supersport and superstock bike on the 15th (Bishopscourt), 22nd (Bishopscourt) and 24th (Kirkistown) March.  These meetings are not supposed to clash with any BSB meetings so that will be a great opportunity to get a feel for the bikes.

I am also in the process of getting sponsors together for another crack at the Superstock championship at BSB in 2008. A sponsor from last year, William Rea, has bought a new R1 and is kitting it out in race trim for the Superstock Championship.  Derek Huxley has also agreed to stay with me for the next season so that has been great news for me. We built up a great working relationship in 2007 and I am sure it will continue for the 2008 season! Rea Estates team colours are red and white. The first time i will be out on this bike will be the first round of the BSB at Brands Hatch GP circuit 4/5/6th Apr.

I have been busy contacting companies about products for example,  exhausts, air filters etc and trying to get the best prices possible for the supplies I will need for 2008.  I have managed to source most products so they are just sitting waiting for me to be able to raise the funds to pay for them. My faithful, long term sponsor, William Watt will still be supporting me in 2008 and he still owns the Kawasaki 600 I rode in 2007.  We have been trying to sell the bike so  William can recoup the money he invested in it that rather than paying out more money and still owning a bike that isn't going to be ridden very much, if at all.

Basically it's just a case now of getting as much sponsorship money gathered up to run a full year in BSB again.  I enjoyed 2007 so much and i can't wait to get back at it. Its a great help with William buying the bike and kitting it out as the bike is one of the major expenses. I now need to find sponsorship/money for flights to and from Liverpool airport, a few boat fares during the year, garaging costs to keep the van in a secure compound, diesel for the van, Derek's wages, food for the team, fuel for the bike, tyre bill, entry fees, spare bike parts, team clothing, posters, stickers and team equipment etc for the whole season.

If you or anyone you know would like to become a sponsor and be part of the team feel free to contact me on 07756406798 or 02893 351365 or email me at alastair@alastairseeleyracing.co.uk or alastairseeley9@hotmail.co.uk
